In February SURFCiTY has 5 spots available for a 10 day audio/visual production internship.
This is a really good opportunity for a young person who is committed to their home church, particularly in regional Queensland, who would like to involve themselves in a metropolitan based church for a large scale event and walk away with a host of new ideas and thoughts on how they could best imapct their community using the resources they already have.
SURFCiTY Church does not operate on large budgets for productions, our resources are human, not financial. The team that I am privileged to be a part of is one of the most skilled a resourceful I have seen in a church. They have the skills and the anointing to do an excellent job with the resources in front of them.
Details of Internship
The internship will kick off wih an introduction BBQ on Thursday the 5th of February at 7pm.
You will be required for training all day and night on Friday the 6th. Saturday the 7th is a free day, if you have friends or family here on the Gold Coast you are welcome to visit them on this day, otherwise everyone will visit a theme park for the day.
Sunday 8th February: 9:30am and 6pm Services – The event with Tim Hall begins at our regular Sunday Church services.
Monday 9th – Saturday the 14th: Nightly meetings with Pastor Tim Hall with day training.
Sunday 15th February: Regular 9:30am and 6pm Services with Ps Tim Hall.
Monday the 16th: Home sweet home!
Costs
There are no charges or fees from SURFCiTY for the internship, although you are advised to bring some spending money for meals. You are also advised to bring some money for the free day on Saturday the 7th, approx $80 should be enough.
Accommodation
SURFCiTY will endeavour to billet you out to church members for accomodation.
How you will benefit?
SURFCiTY Church internships exist to benefit, build and grow you, the intern. Most internships exist to build and grow the church, we know that our church and your church will be directly blessed by your growth, but your growth is the focus for these 10 days.
There will be day workshops throughout the week, teaching you about all aspects of our productions including:
- Sound engineering
- Lighting
- Live vision switching
- Broadcast camera operation
- Audio and video recording and production
- Live internet streaming of services
- Podcasting of services
- Video streaming of services
- Use of social media to build the kingdom
- Graphic design
